Urology Awareness Month – Road Show

Urology Awareness Month is observed every September to raise public and professional awareness of urological diseases and cancers affecting the prostate, bladder, kidneys, and male reproductive system. Organized globally by groups such as The Urology Foundation, the campaign aims to improve knowledge, encourage early diagnosis, support research, and reduce the stigma around urological health issues.
As a dedicated Urology speciality centre, and in commemoration of Urology Awareness Month, Vedanayagam Hospital has organized several programs across Coimbatore to promote awareness about urology.
As part of this initiative, a Road Show was conducted at the Clock Tower, D. B. Road, R.S. Puram, Coimbatore. The event aimed to spread awareness through engaging activities and interactive games. More than 125 members of the general public visited the roadside stall, participated in awareness games, and learned about various urological health conditions.
A special selfie booth with Urology awareness messages was arranged, where people took photos holding placards with key health information. To further encourage participation, gifts were distributed to winners of the awareness games and visitors to the stall.
The program successfully created a lively and interactive platform to educate the public and promote the importance of early screening and healthy practices for urological well-being.
