Biography
Dr. S. Bobby Viswaroop is a certified Uro-oncologist and Andrologist with 18 years of clinical experience. He completed his MBBS from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum. He then studied Master’s degree in General Surgery at Mysore Medical College and completed Mch Urology from Christian Medical College, Vellore. The doctor is specialized in the procedures such as Laparoscopy, Ureterorenoscopy (URS), TURP (transurethral resection of the prostate), TURBT (transurethral resection of a bladder tumor), Endourology, PCNL (percutaneous nephrolithotomy), RIRS (retrograde intrarenal surgery), Uro-oncology, Urethroplasty, and Endourology reconstruction. He evaluates, monitors, and supervises patient care before, during, and after surgery. He delivers utmost importance to the patient’s comfort and ensures optimal patient safety. He is currently practicing in Coimbatore.
Awards & Achievements
He did a fellowship in MIUC travel and has presented more than 24 articles in National and International Journals. He has written 3 TB chapters which guided more than 12 residents. Also, he was awarded for being actively involved in teaching the residents about Dnb urology.
Overall Experience
He has worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at Sdumc, Kolar, and worked in CMC, Vellore, as a non-PG resident from 1999 to 2001. After completing Mch Urology from Christian Medical College, Vellore, he gained experience as Tutor and Lecturer for one year each. Then, he joined Vedanayagam hospital in 2006 and gained experience in genito-urinary surgeries. Also, he has been a teaching faculty for DNB (Diplomate of National Board) and Mch residents. He regularly conducts assessment exams for trainees and has conducted and participated as a faculty in Endourology and Urethral Reconstruction workshops. He also visited Bangladesh and Sudan as an international volunteer and performed reconstructive surgeries. In addition, he has been an honorary member of the Urological Society of India and the American Urology Association.
